Selena Gomez Enters Christian-Based Rehab Center for Depression

Pop singer Selena Gomez has checked into rehab for treatment of depression. This comes a month after Gomez cancelled her Revival Tour, claiming she was suffering from depression, panic attacks, and anxiety brought on by her Lupus diagnosis.

The singer has been battling Lupus for the last couple of years, and has decided to enroll herself in a rehabilitation center to focus on herself. According to TMZ, Gomez will be in the center for 60 days.

The source also tells TMZ that the east coast rehab center focuses on Christian values. They said, “The rehab has a Christianity-based track, which might have been appealing given her religious background.”

Treatment at this facility will focus around intense therapy along with therapeutic activities including horses. It is a women only center, and the patients will be allowed to leave to go on day trips in the surrounding area once a few weeks has passed.

Above anything else, Gomez’s personal security will not be jeopardized. Her security team has upped protection at the facility since she entered, and there will be no paparazzi allowed.

The name of the rehab center has not been revealed, but Selena’s media team strongly insists that the pop singer is not in rehab for treatment of drug-related issues.

However, this pop star has been dedicated to her fans throughout this ordeal and has not allowed them to know that anything was wrong. Her discretion could perhaps be the result of her amazing glam squad including her hairdresser Marissa Marino. Of all the 770,000 self-employed hairdressers in the nation, at least one has to work for Selena Gomez and her recent concert looks are proof of Marino’s high level of skill.

Marino and Gomez have come together and revealed the inspiration for the tour’s looks, which include 1960’s movie stars Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot and Anna Karina as the influence for her stunning looks.

Once Gomez leaves rehab, she plans to continue her tour where it left off.
